Taking Time for Yourself
Your mood and the way you feel about yourself are related to how much time you spend taking care of you. Taking time for yourself means doing something just for you, that you enjoy and will help you relax. Even if you think you have no time, you should put in sometime to unwind and center yourself. Just think how it could actually a gift to others if you took the time to take care of yourself. Pinpoint what is keeping you from doing things that make you happy and excited about life and take care of it!
Here are somethings that you can do to take care of yourself:
Take a long walk.
Do yoga.
Exercise in the gym.
Read a short story.
Write your life story.
Daydream.
Try a new recipe.
Cook yourself your favorite dish.
Go to the movies alone.
Write a letter, not an e-mail to a friend.
Read a magazine.
Sit outside and breathe fresh air.
Write in a journal.
Go to bed an hour early.
Watch the sunrise or sunset.
Listen to soothing music.
Look through old photo albums.
Express your creativity, paint, draw, sew.
Light some candles and listen to music.
Buy yourself something, anything, it doesn't have to be expensive.
Pamper yourself at the spa or create a spa day yourself at home.
Plan your dream vacation.
Clean your closet.
Call a relative or friend you haven't spoken to in a while.
Donate money to a charity.
Make a collage of your perfect life.
Make a list of things that are pleasurable to do and add it to this list.
